When I announced I was going to buy a 400 acre farm soon after I turned 40, friends and family threw up their hands in horror. Even I was daunted by the scale of the adventure and wondered if I wouldn’t be just a tad lonely . . .
but I did it (with the help and humouring of my very long-suffering family!). And, funny that, met a man, got engaged, became pregnant, got married and now have a beautiful little boy, no time to ride the horses, a tractor I don’t spend enough time on, a business and a blog!
English by birth but Australian by choice, I am finally living on the farm of my dreams . . .
400 acres of pasture, forest and rainforest, bounded by 4 kilometres of river where platypus play every day – heaven!
But running a farm, a toddler, a business and a husband and his business is nothing if not full on. Add the animals (wild and domestic) into the mix and things can get a little crazy . . .
as you will see!
